Our course for beginners & advanced artists

Ombre Brows, also known as the Powder Effect, is a powerful and long-lasting semi-permanent eyebrow tattoo treatment, highly sought after in the beauty industry. It is the best solution for clients with oily skin types that are not suitable for pure Microblading treatment.

Our 3-day course is designed for both beginners and advanced artists. This program will provide you with all the fundamental knowledge and skills to begin working as a Permanent Makeup Artist from day one. No previous knowledge or certificates are required to complete this course.

 

Our unique training system was carefully designed by Master Artist Katie, drawing on her 15+ years of experience gained through travelling and undertaking the best training available worldwide. She has trained with Branko Babic – Co-founder of Phiacademy, Rebecca Chung from Princess Brows, David Tang from David Brows Art, and many other world-renowned artists. Katie is an accredited trainer and has also been a Nationally Recognised Certified Trainer for Beauty and Cosmetic Tattooing for over 10 years.

Our course includes a comprehensive training manual, the client consultation process and forms, custom eyebrow design, and full treatment guidance with hands-on practice. Over the 3 days, you will gradually progress towards performing a complete treatment on 2 models. By the end of the course, you will have mastered and performed our signature techniques.

Course Structure

  • Course duration: 3 days in-person (1 day per week), 9:30am – 4:30pm. A 3-week break is scheduled between days 2 and 3 to ensure you have time to practise before your final assessment on day 3.

  • Industry insights into delivering quality service and building customer loyalty

  • Full treatment demonstration by the trainer on a live model

  • Student hands-on training on up to 2 models

  • Certification ceremony (certificate of training completion provided)

  • Sanitation and in-treatment hygiene

  • Fitzpatrick scale, skin anatomy, allergies and diseases

  • Product knowledge: tools, tattooing machine, supplies and equipment setup

  • In-treatment pain management

  • The golden ratio & brow shaping

  • Brow mapping techniques

  • Colour theory

  • Correct depth, hand motion, grip and pressure

  • Stretching and pressure for machine technique

  • Pre-care and aftercare

  • Client consultation procedures

  • Ombre Brow styles & design for machine technique

  • Hand-movement practice on latex for ombre brows

  • Hand-movement practice on latex for combination technique (for students with a Microblading background)
     

Day 1 – Theory & 1 model demonstration

  • $1,000 non-refundable deposit is required to secure your spot in this course. The final payment is due 14 days before the training session commences.

  • You can bring your own models, or we can provide them for you.

Pre-Requisites

SHBBINF001: Maintain infection control standards

You don’t require any certification or previous knowledge in Beauty Therapy to attend this course. However, you will be required to complete the module SHBBINF001 to work as a Permanent Makeup Artist in Australia.

You can complete this module with us (during the course) for an additional $500 – no extra day of training is required.

 

Recognition of Prior Learning is also available for those who already hold a nationally recognised infection control certificate. Please enquire for further details.
